Lisa has been a therapist for our son, and a ray of hope for our family. She came at a time when we didn’t know what to do with our son. Her tenacity to forge ahead and show us that he has potential- though the road ahead will be long, she has given us a chance to enjoy our son again and see his abilities not his disability. We welcome her grit, humor, assertiveness and knowledge of the special needs realm. We are so fortunate to have found her. And whoever comes across her, is to be fortunate as well.

I’m a full time working mom with 3 children; an 11 yr old daughter, 9 year old son and a 4 year old son. Lisa has been very much a part of our family for over 3 years now. She is very invested and devoted to her clients, as well as accessible. She is very interested in achieving our goals and helping our family function better. She has been helpful in reducing our children’s temper tantrums, helping their communication skills, and following directions. Lisa is constantly addressing issues as our children grow, with suggestions and strategies for new arising concerns at school or related to home; helping them with manners, addressing peer pressure, and bullying. She’s been there to help guide my husband and myself in today’s difficult and challenging world of parenting. She is always available and ready to meet our family’s need on hand at anytime.
Lisa is an amazing advocate and teacher. As a first time mother of a child with developmental delays, it has been challenging to find ways to help him grow. Lisa understood these challenges and dove right into helping him to communicate his needs, as well as teach my husband and I how to interpret our son’s behavior. In their hour-long therapy sessions she was tough with him, pushing him to be disciplined and to accomplish the goals she set for him. While she was firm, she was also incredibly loving and treated him as though he were her own child. When we enrolled our son in nursery school, she was his champion in the school- visiting him in the classroom to perform his therapy sessions and ensuring that that he was being treated appropriately by the teachers and other caregivers, with affection and understanding.
Lisa took the time to observe, and explain our son’s behavior and how we could best help him to thrive. I wish all children with needs similar to those of our son have the opportunity to have Lisa on their side. I consider my family very fortunate to have her on ours.

Lisa has worked with my now 27 month old, developmentally delayed son since he was 11 months old. Since she first joined my son’s team of therapists she has been an invaluable asset to our entire family. Lisa has worked with my son in a loving and gentle way helping him to grow and gain life, play and communication skills. She has worked with him both in our home, as well as at his daycare to help him learn to be in the classroom and interact with other children.
During the past 16 months we have seen my son learn signs to increase his ability to communicate with us, learn to feed himself finger foods, and increase and improve his social interactions including eye contact, joint attention and even back and forth play. We know that a great deal of his progress is due to the work Lisa has done with him. When we first put my son into daycare two mornings a week he had a very difficult time adjusting, spending most of the morning crying. With Lisa’s guidance and support, he has now fully adjusted to being there. He now spends most of the mornings smiling, and even participates in snack time and circle time with his “friends”.
As a full time working Mom, I have been so grateful that Lisa has made herself available not just for sessions during the day but to speak about my son’s progress with me by phone in the evenings when needed. She has gone above and beyond to be there for our family and “hold our hand” as we have walked the steps of being parents of a special needs child. Her support in teaching my husband and I techniques we can use at home to encourage and support the things she was working on with my son has enabled us as parents to take a greater role in his therapy.
I am so grateful that we’ve had the opportunity to work with Lisa, I really don’t know where we would be without her. I would very highly recommend her for any family who is looking to support their special needs/delayed child.
I am pleased to write a letter of reference for Ms. Lisa Wallos. I highly recommend Ms. Wallos to work with your family, as I am certain she will rapidly assist your child in meeting their special education goals.
I have known Ms. Lisa Wallos for the past year, as she served as the special educator working with my son to overcome various behavioral delays. Being at home on several occasions during my son’s sessions, I had an opportunity to observe Ms. Wallos work with my son in a diligent yet compassionate fashion. During her time spent with our family, she clearly demonstrated that she could accomplish tasks in a courteous and timely manner.
On a personal note, Ms. Wallos was instrumental in assisting my wife and I navigating through the process of early intervention. She took a vested interest in my son and I will be forever grateful.
Ms. Lisa Wallos is well equipped to grow from challenges that she is presented with. Her knowledge and skill set, alongside a strong sense of empathy, will continue to make her a successful special educator. I highly recommend Ms. Lisa Wallos, without hesitation, as a special educator to work with your child. If any further questions or concerns should arise, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you Lisa for everything you have done for Aliah. We cannot believe how much she has grown since you began working with her. We were truly blessed to have found you and every child who finds you is blessed as well. God bless you and your family always!
Lisa Wallos began working with my son Sean at the age of 2 years in August 2005. She provided special education services to Sean several times a week. Lisa was extremely professional, prompt and very hard working and my child enjoyed working with her. She taught my son many skills and made many useful suggestions for my family to implement at home. In fact, it was Lisa who suggested that Sea begin an ABA program. Not only did she work well with his team members, but she was instrumental in him for getting appropriate hours and helping us determine the best placement for him for preschool. I was extremely pleased with Lisa’s knowledge but her concern and genuine interest in my child was noteworthy.
Thank you so much for your help with our son. We appreciated the direct and honest way you communicated your concerns. Most importantly, you knew what he needed, and helped us make the right decisions around his education. Your advice on moving him out of the Pre-School he attended at the time, into a smaller and more supportive environment made a huge impact on his confidence, connection and development. We are so grateful to have had your insight and professionalism during that time. Your help really made a difference for him.
